As for my "radically different" market, there is not one. At least not for the product and service I am providing. I am marketing my product to the average regular consumer and every big and small retail store in the nation. For a radically different market I would have to design a completely new product.
After my interview the feedback that i received was very helpful. I was told to make a feature on the app that would recognize purchases which could provide a tax return in order to make the tax process easier for those who cannot afford an accountant. Overall this was a fun experience and i received good feedback.
Hey Nahel, I really liked your post. This is definitely one of the best ideas I've seen in this class because it would probably make a large impact on the earth's environment. It seems like you got some great feedback on this post that you'd be able to implement into your app. I hope this goes well for you and feel free to check out my blog here: http://matthewent3003.blogspot.com/.
ReplyDeleteHi Nahel,
ReplyDeleteI think you have an awesome idea on your hands. I hate having to save receipts after I go shopping only to forget where I put them once I need them. Once I do find my receipt stash, I am left with the daunting task of sorting through them. I would love to have a product that kept all of this organized which would also save companies money by eliminating expensive receipt paper. In my opinion, the "pay" function may face competition that have already spent an enormous amount of money in research, development, and implementation. How do you plan to go head to head with mega companies like Apple and Samsung? Overall, I like the idea and the feedback your interview subjects provided you. Easing the tax return process would be a delightful breakthrough for many. Good luck with your venture!
I have not included a link to my "whats next" as I did not complete the assignment. However, I have included a link to my blog as a whole that I encourage you to check out and leave feedback wherever you desire.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! Being able to have receipts digitized would be better for the environment and it would also be easier when balancing finances. A problem I face sometimes when checking my debit card statement is that I cannot recognize the code for the transaction. Some laundry machines have company names and different cities of origin on the bank statement, so if I could have an electronic receipt, I could save myself from identity theft. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteHi Nahel, I like your name –
ReplyDeleteThank you for actually taking and providing videos with people in them, unlike everyone else I have commented on. Kudos.
I appreciate your bluntness when you refer to your radically different market. It made me laugh, and it is absolutely true from where I am standing. Your description was brief, but far from incomplete.
Good post.
Nahuel,
ReplyDeleteI remember commenting on one of your posts a long time ago and I remembered thinking, "why would we need something like this if we already have the option to have our receipts emailed to us?"
In the first customer video, when you spoke about having to sign a receipt, you just corrected me because there are many many places that print out receipts regardless if you want one or not just to sign the total, tip, and your name.
Reconsidering my previous comment, I do like your idea and think it would be really successful.
I too created an app for my idea, but I did not do this assignment. If you want to check out my blog, here's the link:

Nahel, I think you have a good idea and I'd like to see it implemented into the local restaurants and dining sites near me. I did not do this assignment but I thought of a delivery system. In a way, we both tried to deliver a type of service to our customers except that yours is centered on an app. I am glad that you included videos of your customer interviews because it shows that you actually did the assignment as instructed. I think a lot of people could benefit from this because it would allow us to keep tabs on our purchases and the places from where we made them. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteNahel,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I really like your blog title I think you have a really good idea, I just spent the last hour going through my wallet looking for a certain receipt and throwing away old receipts and I think this is a really good idea to help the environment and organize peoples lives. I never did find the receipt I needed so an idea like this would be helpful. I didn't submit a post for this assignment but you can check out my venture concept below. http://kailadevin.blogspot.com/2016/03/venture-concept-no-1.html
Hi Nahel, I really enjoyed reading your post and watching your interviews. I thought that they followed really naturally and you communicated with the people well. I think that a direct pay feature is the perfect compliment to an app that stores receipts. Great job with this assignment.
ReplyDeleteI think that you did a good job with your “What’s Next” post. You seemed to be able to understand what your customers are wanting and what areas you think that you should focus on moving forward. I also that you handled yourself well during the interviews. It was a very well written.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I do not have a post to share.
Hi Nahel!
ReplyDeleteFirst, great work! I really enjoyed watching your interviews. I hardly see anymore video interviews anymore. Based on your feedback from your videos and personal belief, I believe your app would be a success in the real world. I know I don't like keeping receipts or filing taxes. Keep up the great work Nahel! Check out my business blog website here:http://floridagirlss.blogspot.com
Hey Nahel, I really like your idea. Not only does it help our environment (the biggest problem we are facing right now), but it also makes your purchases a lot more organized. I am glad you were able to get feedback that you can implement in your product and that you had a fun time doing these interviews. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteNahel,
ReplyDeleteSomething being environmentally sustainable in today's world is a huge advantage and one i think you truly can capitalize on. Keep moving forward on your idea and develop a business plan as i truly see an opportunity for you. Great blog post! I really enjoyed reading and learning about your idea and company! I think you are definitely on the right path and have a great understanding of what's next. your interviews were very thorough and successful in helping you understand what the needs and wants of your target customers are. They definitely helped you innovate new ideas.
ReplyDeleteHi Nahel!
ReplyDeleteOverall, I really like your business concept. However, going up against Apple Pay and Samsung Pay is pretty intimidating so it looks like you have your work cut out for you. I’m not very familiar with Apple Pay but it does seem like your pay service is slightly differentiated so I think that you have some good potential. Overall, great job!
Great idea - I honestly believe your next step would more than double my interest in it though. Perhaps it should be a simultaneous step. I think about paying taxes or tracking home improvement costs, etc. While I can go through my bank statements it's not as simple as one might think. Also though I tend to make multiple trips and require a good amount of returns it is tough for me to find all my receipts when needed. Good post and good luck!

Hey Nahel,
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! It sounds like you already know the direction you are planning to move in, but the greatest thing about this is that you can become a proprietary digital receipt company for many. And you dont even have to stop there, you can provide other things like digital warranty slips, return invoices, shipping labels, etc. Good luck with your venture, it sounds like you already really know what you're doing and your customer base. Now you just need to bring the concept to fruition!
Thanks for the share,
sadok
Hi Nahel,
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I think your idea is really interesting and revolutionary because of the immense environmental and sustainability benefits it is trying to combat according to your interviews. Although I think the idea is great, I do believe you will have a lot of competition in this industry, especially with everything moving into mobile and receipts being sent to emails or text. With that in mind, I feel like you will have to really diversify yourself and market this as a sustainability strategy in order to get more people interested. Thanks for sharing and i hope you are able to get the idea to take off.
Hi Nahel,
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on this assignment. I think your idea could really be useful to a big part of the market. I liked that you took the time to reflect back on your feedback. I personally think expanding the app to help people with tax returns is a great addition to your product. Thank you for sharing!

Hey Nile,
ReplyDeletegreat job with this post and I think you have a fantastic idea here!! Receipts have become such a nuisance, to the point I avoid getting them as much as I can. But with this a problem in handling my finances has become a struggle. Having an idea as such as this at my disposable would help me in tremendous ways and I would use it in a heart beat. I love how creative you got with these interviews. I look forward to you putting this idea into work. http://bstestblogpost.blogspot.com/2016/03/venture-concept-1-week-12.html
Nahel,
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed your interviews on this post. The felt natural , like any conversation would go between friends. I like, especially , how you took time to examine and process done of the things people have discussed on your concept. Expanding into a the tax return market seems like a great pool to dip into, regarding the fact that it's something most people must do during tax season. Good job!

"Oh hey there tree dweller!" hahaha this had me cracking up, but on a serious note I do think that you have a good idea on your hands. I love that you want to help the environment and do that by getting rid of receipts. I also think this would help people that like receipts too because there is less of a chance of loosing one. For example, I'll buy a t-shirt and then decide I don''t like it and then realize I threw away the receipt so I am stuck with it. Overall, great job on your post and I hope that you actually make this a really thing.
ReplyDeleteHi there Nahel!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job on your blog post! I think your product and business idea is great and innovative. You took something like Apple Pay that already exists and created something similar with a great innovative twist to help people keep track of their expenses. I think your product is very lucrative as well, because it doesn't really discriminate as far as markets are concerned. Overall great job! Here is the link to my blog post in case you want to check it out: http://lbritthoff.blogspot.com/2016/04/whats-next.html
ReplyDeleteHi Nahel
I really enjoyed your blog post. I thought it was really interesting how you went about doing your interviews. One thing that really stood out to me is how authentic the feedback you received seemed to be. I think you have a really cool concept and I can't wait to see you polish it up. I think it has a lot of potential for growth.
